I use texture and color to create mood and feeling in my art. Whether the colors are bold and vibrant or a subtle tone on tone, each piece tells a different story. I enjoy photography, home design and years ago dabbled in stained glass (something I would like to pursue again now that I am an emply nester). While I enjoy experimenting with different styles and media, collage has allowed me the freedom to fully express myself visually.
I am inspired by the many incredibly talented artists who live on the Middle Peninsula and the Northern Neck and show their art in our local galleries. They are generous with their knowledge and both encourage and challenge artists like myself to step out of our comfort zones. Gloucester Arts on Main, the Rappahannock Art League in Kilmarnock and the Bay School in Mathews are among the many galleries displaying an amazing array of talent.
My husband Bob and I are native Virginians. We have lived in Gloucester for 37 years, have two grown children and two amazing grandchildren.
Bob and I enjoy traveling. We are continually amazed by both the wonderful landscapes and people we have encountered.
